Scott Servais wasn’t objectively critical of the Mariners when he joined us on Thursday. Still, he didn’t hesitate to point out the differences between his former club and the San Diego Padres, where he currently works as a special advisor in player development.
“There are stark differences. There’s no question about it. I think the thing that stood out to me first was the number of people who work for the Padres; the different departments they have and how they’re built out.”
“It’s just different,” Servais told us.
