The Yankees kept their World Series hopes alive in Game 4, defeating the Dodgers 11-4 and staving off a sweep. Anthony Volpe’s grand slam erased an early Dodgers lead from Freddie Freeman’s first-inning homer, while Austin Wells and Gleyber Torres later contributed with insurance longballs.

Dodgers relievers struggled in a bullpen game that eventually broke open with a five-run Yankees rally in the eighth.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts avoided using his top relievers in the blowout, leaving them available for Game 5 between Gerrit Cole and Jack Flaherty.
