With Roki Sasaki’s decision looming, his agent, Joel Wolfe, provided some clarity on where things stand on Monday.

According to Wolfe, 20 teams sent proposals to meet with Sasaki in person. While not every team granted an in-person meeting has been made public, the Cubs, Dodgers, Padres, Giants, Mets, Rangers, and Yankees are all known to have met with the 23-year-old Japanese phenom.

Saski returned home to Japan after meeting with teams and will start the process of elimination when he returns to America, according to his agent. Wolfe also noted that it’s not likely his client will sign right when the international signing period begins on January 15.
