The injury bug bit the Dodgers HARD this time.

View - Mookie Betts is headed for the IL after getting hit by a pitch on Sunday that left him with a fractured left hand. Betts was slashing .307/.407/.493 with 10 homers this season.

Yoshinobu Yamamoto has been diagnosed with a strained rotator cuff, per @kirsten_watson.
It’s not expected to be season-ending.

As if that wasn’t bad enough, Yoshinobu Yamamoto was placed on the 15-day IL with a rotator cuff strain in his right shoulder after leaving his start early on Saturday night. Neither injury is expected to be season-ending.

The Orioles took two out of three in a measuring stick series against the Phillies over the weekend.

Even though Colton Cowser hasn’t played in a playoff game, he said Sunday felt like one. The electric atmosphere started early when Gunnar Henderson hit the first of four homers off Zack Wheeler, who got knocked out after surrendering 8 ER in 4.1 innings.

With Baltimore 1.5 games behind the Yankees in the AL East, they head to the Bronx for a three-game set beginning Tuesday.
