Gerrit Cole (7 IP, 6 H, 1 ER) rebounded from a rocky start in Game 1 to help send the Yankees to the ALCS with a 3-1 win on Thursday night.
Giancarlo Stanton (6-16, 4 RBI, 1 HR) propelled New York offensively in the series, while the bullpen surrendered ZERO earned runs across four games. They’ll play the winner of Detroit-Cleveland in the ALCS on Monday.

Tarik Skubal is expected to start for Detroit. Cleveland has yet to announce a starter.

Francisco Lindor’s grand slam was all the offense the Mets needed on Wednesday, as they punched their ticket to the NLCS with a 4-1 win over the Phillies.
Every team that’s beaten the Brewers in the playoffs has gone on to appear in the World Series the same year. New York will have to defeat the winner of Padres-Dodgers in the NLCS to keep the streak going.
