FT Leadoff

Braves-Phillies Drama, Winker's Controversial Celly, Votto Retires

Orlando Arcia seemed to finally get back at Bryce Harper for staring him down in last year’s NLDS as he was rounding first base after homering on Wednesday.

Despite what looked personal, Arcia claimed he was just “enjoying his home run” when asked if he was objectively looking at Harper.

The Phillies ultimately got the last laugh, winning 3-2 to even up the three-game series. The Braves are currently seven games back in the division and 1.5 games up in the third Wild Card spot.

Jesse Winker became the latest Met with an electric walk-off blast against the Orioles on Wednesday, and his celebration has fans talking.

Remember that? The interaction with a fan came after Jurickson Profar similarly celebrated a walk-off homer while Winker was with the Nationals.

Ironically, the Mets travel to San Diego to begin a four-game set with the Padres today. The Mets are 1.5 GB of a Wild Card spot, while the Padres are four games up in a tie for the first spot.
