Ohtani Back On The Bump, Flaherty Wants To Squash Beef With Machado

Shohei Ohtani is back on the bump.

Ohtani threw his first bullpen session since 2023 in front of a herd of Dodgers fans, players, and front office members on Saturday.

All 14 pitches Ohtani threw were a mix of two-seam and four-seam fastballs reaching 92-94 MPH. He’s expected to face live hitters in batting practice at some point before the Dodgers leave for Japan on March 11, but won’t pitch in any actual games this spring.

According to Dave Roberts, Ohtani is expected to return to the mound in May.
