The Orioles and Royals squared off in a pitchers’ duel. Cole Ragans threw six scoreless innings before leaving with cramps, while Corbin Burnes pitched 8.0+ innings of one-run ball, but couldn’t get any run support. Bobby Witt Jr.’s RBI single in the sixth was the difference in Kansas City’s 1-0 win.
