Rays pitcher Edwin Uceta was initially dealt a three-game suspension on Wednesday for intentionally drilling Nick Castellanos with a heater in Tuesday’s Rays-Phillies battle. Uceta appealed it and ended up agreeing to sit for two games, while his manager Kevin Cash was suspended from Wednesday's tilt.

Castellanos got the last laugh as he launched a two-run home run in the first inning of the series finale, en route to a 3-2 win to complete a Philly sweep of the Rays.

Does anyone smell a Detroit miracle?! After winning their fourth straight game on Wednesday night, the Tigers stay hungry and sit three games back of the Twins, who hold the final AL Wild Card spot. During their dominant homestand, the Tigers have outscored the A’s and Rockies by a combined score of 29-6.

It still might be too little too late though. The Tigers dropped the season series to Minnesota, meaning it’s really a four-game deficit right now. And after Thursday’s finale vs. Colorado, they enter a little gauntlet of Orioles and Royals matchups.
