FT Leadoff

West Coast Classic, Mets Dominate Phillies, ALDS Roundup

The drama between the Dodgers and Padres magnified Game 3 on Tuesday, and it delivered a classic.

After a first-inning solo shot from Mookie Betts, the Friars responded with a six-run second. Teoscar Hernández got his team back in it with a grand slam, but the 6-5 score would hold, thanks to San Diego’s shutdown bullpen.

LA skipper Dave Roberts has declared a bullpen game in Game 4 against Dylan Cease and the Padres, who can advance to the NLCS with a win tonight.

Watch - Alanna Rizzo and Clint Pasillas unleashed their Game 3 frustrations during Tuesday’s postgame show.

The Mets returned home from a five-city road trip to a ROCKING Citi Field.

Pete Alonso’s postseason heroics continued with a solo shot in the second, followed by Jesse Winker’s upper-deck tank in the fourth. Both contributed to a seven-run offensive outburst.

Sean Manaea went seven strong innings, surrendering one run on three hits while striking out six in the 7-2 win.

With a victory tonight, the Mets could reach the NLCS for the first time since 2015.

A four-run fourth by the Royals was all they needed to put the Yankees away in Game 2 on Monday.

Jazz Chisholm provided bulletin board material for Kansas City when he told reporters they “got lucky” after the game. However, New York is 3-for-19 with runners in scoring position in the series.

Watch - Erik Kratz joined Pinstripe Territory to discuss Game 2 and look ahead to tonight’s matchup.

Tarik Skubal’s seven innings of shutout ball in Game 2 looked to be the story for Detroit until Kerry Carpenter connected with a go-ahead three-run shot off Emmanuel Clase in the ninth with two outs.

It was the first homer by a left-handed batter off Clase in 461 days and the first off his slider since 2022.

Cleveland will attempt to bounce back in the Motor City this afternoon with Alex Cobb on the bump.
