Shohei Ohtani and Aaron Judge have solidified themselves as frontrunners for their league’s MVP award.
On Friday, Ohtani became the first Dodger to join the 40-40 club after smacking a walk-off grand slam to top the Rays. Shotime accomplished the feat in 126 games, the fastest in MLB history!

Over in the American League, Aaron Judge increased his home run total to 51 after going long three times over the weekend. The Yankees captain has now hit 50+ home runs three times in his career, becoming the sixth player in Major League history to do so.
With about a month remaining in the season, Judge is on pace to break the AL record (62) he set in 2022.

The NL West race looks to be the most competitive in baseball.
The division-leading Dodgers have won seven of their last ten after grabbing their series against the Rays over the weekend, and they’re only getting stronger. Max Muncy is back in the fold, and Yoshinobu Yamamoto is set to begin a rehab assignment this week.
The Diamondbacks (3.0 GB) won their sixth straight after sweeping the Red Sox at Fenway Park, while the Padres (4.5 GB) split a series against the Mets by way of an electrifying walk-off homer from rookie Jackson Merrill Sunday afternoon.
