The Braves announced that Ronald Acuña Jr. will miss the remainder of the season after an MRI revealed an ACL tear in his left knee.
Acuña sustained the injury after awkwardly going down while taking a lead off of second base in Sunday’s 8-1 win over the Pirates. It’s the second ACL tear of his career. The first tear was suffered in July of 2021 to his right knee.

We've won our last nine and have now gained a game in the Central standings. 😅

Following their third-straight sweep on Sunday, the Guardians tied a franchise record for their best start (36-17) through 53 games.
Coincidentally, they've made the World Series in the three seasons they’ve started with that exact record (1920, 1954, 1995).
Jose Ramirez has been ridiculous since May 4th, slashing .338 with 10 bombs and an OPS of 1.185. He’s also the only player in baseball with 50+ RBI.
Despite all of this, the Guardians sit only 2.5 games up on the Royals in the AL Central.

The Dodgers offensive woes continued over the weekend after getting swept by the Reds.
“When you’re not hitting, it certainly seems lifeless,” said manager Dave Roberts, after his club combined to score two runs on Saturday and Sunday.
LAD will attempt to salvage their road trip (1-5) with a three-game series against the Mets starting this afternoon.
