Hall of Fame Class Revealed, Dodgers Spending Good For Baseball?

Three of baseball’s best have joined the sport’s most prestigious group.

Japanese icon Ichiro Suzuki became the latest Hall of Famer to fall one vote short of being a unanimous selection, as was Derek Jeter when he was recently elected. Nevertheless, many would argue that Ichiro, like his former Yankee teammate, deserves 100% of the vote.

CC Sabathia was also inducted in his first year on the ballot, receiving 86.8% of the vote. Sabathia won the Cy Young Award in 2007 and could be among the last pitchers to achieve the 250-win milestone.

Finally, in his last year of eligibility, Billy Wagner was elected after receiving 82.5% of votes. Wagner was one of baseball’s most feared relievers during his 16-year career and ranks eighth on the all-time saves list.
