The Yankees put on an offensive clinic over the weekend, outscoring the Brewers 36-14 on their way to a sweep.

Paul Goldschmidt, Cody Bellinger, and Aaron Judge began Saturday’s game by taking Nestor Cortes deep on his first three pitches of the game. Those were the first of nine total homers the Yankees hit on Saturday, with fifteen total in the series.

Do the Yankees new “torpedo bats” have anything to do with their early success? Brewers closer Trevor Megill seems to think they’re getting away with something, but it’s completely legal. Rays 3B Junior Caminero and Twins C Ryan Jeffers were also seen using the altered bats, which put more wood into the label, giving it a torpedo look.
