USA Today’s Bob Nightengale reported that LA checked in with the White Sox on their three top trade targets: Garrett Crochet, Luis Robert Jr., and Michael Kopech.

Crochet and Kopech would add depth to LA’s pitching staff, which is getting Tyler Glasnow and Clayton Kershaw back from the IL later this week, while Robert Jr. could help fortify a top-heavy lineup.

Plenty of teams will be in on the bidding for these three players, but if any team has the farm system to pull it off, it’s the Dodgers.

With the trade deadline looming, the Cubs and Reds find themselves at the bottom of the NL Central.

After getting swept by the Nationals over the weekend, it could be an appropriate time for the Reds to consider selling. Hunter Greene came out and said players discussed the trade deadline after getting swept by the Tigers before the break.

Names that could be considered include Frankie Montas, Jonathan India, Lucas Sims, and Brent Suter, among others.

The Cubs have a date with the first-place Brewers this week that could determine their deadline fate after nearly getting swept by the Diamondbacks over the weekend.

If they were to sell, Jameson Taillon would likely be headed elsewhere. USA Today’s Bob Nightengale mentioned the Red Sox as a potential fit on Foul Territory last Friday.
