FT Leadoff

Ump Show Week, White Sox FAIL, Ohtani's Cruise Missile, IL Hits

At this point, it’s getting ridiculous.

Despite being victimized by a bad call earlier in the game, Michael Harris was able to right the umpire’s wrong by walking it off in extras last night.

The same cannot be said for Jo Adell, who was wrongfully called out to end the game, much to the displeasure of the Angels broadcast.

Of course, we’ll be discussing this today on FT Live, just as we did with Aaron Boone getting ejected because of something a fan said on Monday.

The Chicago White Sox are STRUGGLING.

Sure, they were projected to finish in the AL Central’s basement, but with a record of 3-21, who knew things would be this bad?

With their fans anticipating an overhaul, could Foul Territory’s own A.J. Pierzynski be part of the change?

On the positive side of history, Shohei Ohtani continues to break records.

Ohtani’s 9th-inning bomb against the Nationals on Tuesday measured 450-feet with an exit velocity of 118.7 MPH, according to Statcast.

Not only was it was the hardest hit homer of his career, it was also the hardest homer EVER hit by a Dodger in Statcast history.

Fast forward to yesterday, and Ohtani’s three doubles in a 20-hit win over the Nationals helped propel LA to a series win.

Alanna Rizzo & Clint Pasillas broke down just how important it is that the Dodgers get back on track in the latest installment of Dodgers Territory!

It’s been a ROUGH week for injuries in baseball.

FT Senior Insider Ken Rosenthal said on Tuesday’s show that he thinks Juan Soto is going to get more money in free agency than Shohei Ohtani.

He also dishes on Jose Abreu’s struggles, the Astros sluggish start, Toronto’s lights-out pitching, and the Mets hot start!

If you missed it, you can find Tuesday’s show on YouTube or wherever you get your podcasts.
