Flex those muscles, Shohei. 💪
Shohei Ohtani sends a 464-foot BOMB to center for his second homer of the day!

It was a blast this weekend in LA, and we mean that literally.
Multi-homer games from Max Muncy and Shohei Ohtani helped propel the Dodgers to a sweep of the Atlanta Braves.
As always, Ohtani was breaking records. This time, it was for the most homers by a Japanese-born player in a Dodgers uniform, previously held by his own manager, Dave Roberts.
In response, Ohtani gifted Roberts a car for breaking his record.

Luis Arraez went 4-6 with a double and three singles in his Padres debut, because of course.

The Padres acquired Luis Arraez from the Marlins on Friday in a shocking deal that only requires them to pay last year’s batting champion the veteran minimum.
Arraez departs a Marlins team that currently has the third-worst record in baseball at 10-26, but at least Peter Bendix gave an honest assessment of the team.
The White Sox-Cardinals game was placed in a rain delay with two outs in the tenth inning.
The delay lasted three hours, only for home plate umpire CB Bucknor to come back out and make this game-ending call.

Maybe umpiring crews need to be like Major League pitching staffs and bring in a fresh home plate umpire after long delays, because CB Bucknor looked a lot like Angel Hernandez after a three-hour delay on Saturday night.
And if you thought that was bad, check out this Charmin Ultra Soft umpire who tossed Yankees slugger Aaron Judge for hardly arguing a call.
No, your eyes do not deceive you.
The 2024 Oakland Athletics have scored TWENTY runs. 🤯

On Saturday, the A’s demolished Miami in a 21-hit, 6-homer route with a final score of 20-4.
Half of Oakland’s 20 runs came in the third inning when Brent Rooker became the first Athletic to bash two homers in the same inning since Mark McGwire did it in 1996.
Don’t look now, but Oakland is 17-18, holding down third place in the AL West, just 2.5 games back of first.
If you missed our chat with A’s closer Mason Miller on Friday, watch it here!
Jonathan Papelbon TORE into Stephen A. Smith on Friday’s show for essentially mocking Major League players for getting hurt.
FT Senior Insider Ken Rosenthal joined in a much calmer manner to discuss the problems the Mets have catching baserunners, and looked ahead to potential buyers and sellers at this year’s deadline.
